Looking for versatile tiles that can be used for both indoor and outdoor areas? Look no further than MicroTec! This advanced tile glazing technology creates a smooth surface on the tile, while still providing high slip resistance.
Gone are the days of needing separate indoor and outdoor tiles - MicroTec brings a seamless consistency to your space. Traditional outdoor tiles had a sandpaper texture and were manufactured separately, resulting in different color tones and batchings from indoor tiles. MicroTec eliminates this problem by providing one tile that can be used throughout your space, giving you the perfect indoor/outdoor flow.
Traditional slip-resistant finishes use abrasives applied during the manufacturing process to create a rough, sandpaper-like surface. But with MicroTec, a fine uniform coating of microscopic granules is used to create a smooth, anti-slip finish that will last the life of your tile.
And if you're choosing MicroTec tiles, it's important to follow the initial grout cleaning process. We highly recommend using Aqua Mix Grout Release for the job. When grouting, start wiping off excessive grout about 15 minutes after application, and change the water every 4 square meters. Use a microfiber cloth to buff off grout residue once the surface is dry. If there's still grout haze or other stubborn marks, use Aquamix grout haze cleaner or Aquamix Sealer & Coating remover for Epoxy grout. Once these steps are complete, your tiles can be cleaned normally.
Initial grout cleaning process if you’re choosing Microtec tiles
When you are installing MicroTec tiles, it's important to follow a thorough grout cleaning process because of their anti-slip surface. We highly recommend using Aqua Mix Grout Release. Here are the steps to follow:
- Start wiping off excessive grout approximately 15 minutes after application or when grout begins to harden.
- Change the water every 4 square meters to remove the polymer from grouting, which can cause dirt and debris to stick to the tile surface.
- Use a microfiber cloth to buff off grout residue after the surface becomes dry.
- Use Aquamix Grout Haze Cleaner if there is still grout haze or other stubborn marks. If you're using epoxy grout, use Aquamix Sealer & Coating Remover instead.
- Once you've completed these steps, you can clean your tiles normally.
