Shipping

At the moment, we don't offer home deliveries of tiles outside of the christchurch area (Other than the Rolleston, Lincoln, Rangiora, Kaiapoi areas).

However, we can ship your order to the nearest collection depot throughout New Zealand, which is currently from a Mainfreight Depot.

We're also working on offering home deliveries for other locations.

To calculate the freight cost, simply fill out your contact details and address on the shopping cart page. If you're unsure about the location of your nearest depot, feel free to contact us.

Please note that orders must be collected within 2 working days from arrival and are dispatched from our Christchurch warehouse.

Tile Direct offers online ordering with click & collect from our Christchurch warehouse. Please allow 1-2 working days for your order to be processed. You will be contacted via email when your order has been processed and is ready to be collected. This email will be sent from info@tiledirect.co.nz.

Once processed, all online orders must be collected from our Christchurch warehouse. Collection times are Monday-Friday and are within the following hours: 7:30-1:30pm or 2:00-4:00pm. Please ensure you have your reference number when collecting your order. Your collection reference will be displayed on your invoice.

We understand that not all customers are able to collect their orders from our warehouse. If you require delivery to site, we can organise this for you but will have to charge for the service. Please contact us for a price and to arrange delivery to your site.

Click & collect is a convenient option for customers who prefer to order online and pick up their order at a specific location. If you have any questions about the click & collect process or your online order, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Tile Direct offers online ordering with home deliveries to Christchurch and the surrounding areas, including Kaiapoi, Rangiora, Rolleston, and Lincoln. We use a 3rd party truck company who will hand unload your tiles into your garage. We will organize with you a delivery date and get as many details about the delivery as possible.

In order for the truck company to deliver the tiles to your home or site, the following conditions need to be met:

  • The truck company needs to have access to the property so they can unload the tiles. We recommend that someone is on site to let the truck company into the property. If no one is on site and the truck company cannot access the garage, they may have to leave the tiles outside. In this case, it is the homeowner's responsibility to load the tiles into the house.
  • There must be easy access to the garage, with the driveway free from obstructions, including inside of the garage.
  • The driveway must be suitable for a small truck to drive down and not get stuck. If the driveway is not available (e.g. newly laid), the truck must be able to park safely within 7 unobstructed meters from the garage.

If the truck company gets to the site and any of the above conditions have not been met, and they are unable to safely deliver the tiles, they may return the tiles to our warehouse. A new delivery date will have to be organized through us, and this will incur new freight charges to redeliver.

Please note that home deliveries are only available to Christchurch and surrounding areas at this time. If you have any questions about home deliveries or your online order, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Tile Direct offers depot collections, which are available in most cities throughout New Zealand. These depots are Mainfreight transport truck depots.

When you order a depot collect, your order will be sent from our Christchurch warehouse and delivered to your chosen Mainfreight collection depot. You will be able to select the collection depot at the cart.

At this time, we don't offer home delivery or delivery to site for anyone outside of the Christchurch area, so your order will have to be collected from the depot. We are currently working on this so keep an eye out for it if you are going to be ordering in the future. You can also email us and we can get back to you with a home delivery freight price.

Once your order has arrived at the collection depot, it must be collected within 2 working days. Please note that collection depots are not storage warehouses, so your order cannot be stored there. Orders must be collected in one trip, or organized prior to your order leaving our Christchurch warehouse.

We highly recommend that with any order over 20 boxes, you bring a trailer to collect. Please ensure that the vehicle can handle the weight you will be collecting. If you have any questions, please email us at info@tiledirect.co.nz.

Depot collections are a convenient option for customers who prefer to collect their orders from a location closer to their home or site. If you have any questions about the depot collection process or your online order, please don't hesitate to contact us.

We typically dispatch online orders within 2-3 weekdays, and you can collect your order from the Freight yard within 5-6 days (South Island) and 5-10 days (North Island).

Please note that unforeseen circumstances may affect freight delivery times, so we recommend ordering tiles in advance to avoid any impact on your project timeline. Once the order has been collected by the truck, we can't speed up the order.

All orders must be collected within 2 working days of arrival at the freight yard, and orders over 20 boxes (600x600's) require a trailer for collection as the order must be collected in one load.

Returns in the tile business can be challenging due to the heavy and fragile nature of tiles, which makes packing, transporting and restocking them expensive.

To help manage this, we accept returns of full, unopened boxes in saleable condition within 30 days of purchase, subject to a 20% handling fee. The customer is responsible for freight costs associated with the return of goods, and all returns must be sent to Tile Direct, 7B Mandeville Street, Christchurch.

Please note that clearance lines are not returnable, and tiles ordered from Auckland cannot be returned either. Auckland stocked tiles are not available for purchase through our website but can be purchased in-store only.

While we will meet our requirements under the Consumer Guarantees Act, we reserve the right not to accept returns."

We take special care to ensure that all orders are packed securely, but sometimes items can still be damaged during transit.

Please examine the outer plastic wrap of your order upon arrival for any damage, and take photographs if possible.

If any breakages are found, please check your order and contact us within 48 hours.

We may ask for photos and request that you don't discard the broken items.

If you notice what looks to be a fault in any product, please get in touch with us immediately and do not continue installing the tiles.
